How many tickets are available?
This event is strictly is limited to just 100 tickets. Group bookings of four or more will receive a discount – please contact us for details.

Where do I get tickets?
Purchase here. Your wrist band will be available on the day at the venue entrance.
Is there a poster I can have to put up at my workplace?
Absolutely! Download our poster here.
Do I have to dress up?
Not at all. But if you’re comfortable, we do encourage you, at the very least, to wear a hat.
Your frock, suit, party dress or costume (animal perhaps?) will also be perfect. Colours and flowers are encouraged.
Tip: consider sunscreen and an umbrella for all weather comfort.
The weather forecast looks mental!
Speaking of weather, The Fun Alternative Racing Karnival will be held in rain, hail or sunshine.
Can I just rock up on the day and get a ticket?
No, sorry. You’ll need your wrist band for entry.
Is there a waitlist?
Not at this stage, but feel free to check back in closer to the day.
Tip: We are expecting to sell out, so you’d better book fast.
Is this a family friendly event?
Yes, you can bring your kids, FREE! On the day, we do ask that you closely supervise all children in your care, and keep them AWAY from the racetrack 10 minutes before and after the race events!
I don’t feel well.
We will have two St John Volunteers on the day. They will be clearly identified thanks to their lovely uniforms.
Tip: there will be unfiltered tap water on the day for your to refill your own bottle. Also, non-alcoholic beverages to purchase.
Can I bring my own booze?
Yes but then you’ll also have to bring an Esky… much easier to purchase at our bar 🙂
What kind of food will you have?
Check out our menu! Please bear in mind we may change or alter the menu offered on the day and don’t offer any food to those with food sensitivities.
Animals Australia volunteers are providing the food, PLEASE SUPPORT THEM.
I’m not vegan, I don’t want to eat that stuff. Can I bring my own picnic?
Yes, you can, but you know our vegan food is going to be awesome. If you still need your meat on, BYO picnic and we do ask that you make a donation to our Animal Welfare Charity as a “non-vegan”.
Will there be shade if it is hot or shelter from rain?
Heaps. There is a massive grandstand.
Tip: Bring folding chair, cushions or rug if you’d rather find a patch of grass or ground somewhere.
How do I enter a race as a competitor?
Fill out out entry form and pay the entrance fee. Your competitor race band will be available for collection at the venue entrance.
Tip: You can enter all three races if you wish, but entrance to each race is a separate fee.

I’ve bought a general admission ticket but now I want to enter a race How do I do that on your shopping cart?
It’s complicated. You’ll need to contact us.
How do I enter Fashions in the Field AKA Fark King and Queen?
Your general admission ticket gives you automatic entry. Our secret judges will be roaming the grounds on the day – if you look fun, fabulous or creative, you may just take out the prize (cash and/or prizes to the value of $100 each for one King and one Queen). Don’t forget you can play with gender or animal rights themes if that blows your skirt up.
Will there be betting?
We are planning a Cup Sweep – full details available on the day! Make sure you bring coins and notes to be in on the action!
I was itching to come along, but now I can’t make it. Can I get a refund?
Sorry, no. But you may pass your ticket on. Please drop us a courtesy email or text to let us know the ticket holders name.
The only way refunds would be kosher is if we didn’t deliver you goods or services in line with what we told you we would. More info is here.
What if I lose something on the day?
Give us a call after the event. Will will hold any lost property for a week.
